More about Arab Water Works

Each year, Arab Water Works provides an Annual Water Quality Report. This report is designed to inform the customers about the quality of water and services we deliver to them every day. Our constant goal is to provide a safe and dependable supply of drinking water.
Arab Water Works has been provide clean water to the communities of Arab, Morgan City, Joppa, Hulaco, Ryan, Hopewell, Georgia Mountain, Union Grove, Warrenton, Beech Creek, and Red Hill since 1934.

Arab Water Works is responsible for billing the customers inside and outside the city limits of Arab and the customers in Brindlee Mountain. Union Grove, Joppa, Hulaco and Ryan Water Systems are separate from Arab Water Works. They simply buy water wholesale from Arab Water Works and bill their own customers. However, the customer base of these two systems reflects the amount of water provided by Arab Water Works.

The Arab Water works system could be considered a regional water system with customers being served in Blount, Cullman, Marshall and Morgan counties. Arab Water Works presently serves approximately 30,000 people in and around the Brindlee Mountain area. The following table lists, by customer group, the estimated number of billed customers in each county on the system at September 30, 2001. The number represent active customers. There are approximately 300-500 inacive meters each month.
